Devis Epassy leaves Abha

Saudi club Abha FC have announced the departure of Devis Epassy (31) after reaching an amicable agreement with the goal guard.

Having had a difficulty start since the beginning of the season, Devis Epassy did not play for several months and will certainly look to get more in terms of game time elsewhere.

The Cameroonian international is now free to sign with any club of his choice.

His adventure in the Saudi Pro League was not a smooth ride at all.

In a year and a half, Epassy took part in 30 matches, conceding 52 goals, for only 3 clean sheets.

Since the start of this season, he has been relegated to the substitutes’ bench. Epassy will therefore have to find a new base to relaunch his career, at the age of 30.

This 2023/2024 season, the Cameroonian goalkeeper only took part in one match, conceding 3 goals.

Epassy is therefore the 2nd Cameroonian to leave the Saudi club in just 24 hours after Karl Toko-Ekambi.
