DR Congo make AFCON 2023 R16 after emotionless draw against Tanzania

In an emotionless game, DR Congo draws with Tanzania and advances to the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations.

In the end, the match between these two teams ended 0-0, in a contest with very few opportunities and emotions. It’s worth noting that Tanzania, despite seeking victory, did not register a single shot on target.

With this result, Congo DR advances to the Round of 16 without winning a single match (drawing all three of its games), while Tanzania bids farewell to the tournament. On the other hand, the host nation Ivory Coast secured a spot in the next round thanks to this draw, despite losing 1-4 to Equatorial Guinea.
