Ebongue Joins Nigerian Women’s League Side Angels

Former Awa FF midfeilder, Ebenye Ebongue has signed for Nigerian club juggernauts, Rivers Angel.

From a brimming football family with good history, this is the first time that Ebenye is moving out of the country to ply in another championship, asides  the cameroonian women’s championship (Guinness Super League) which has continued to improve. 

Last season, Ebenye  played for AS Awa FC with whom she was crowned champion of Cameroon.

AWA just narrowly missed out of the CAF women’s champions league after a defeat in the hands of Mazembe in the UNIFFAC zonal competition.

Now, the youngster will have to make her talent know  in Rivers Angels. She joins a contingent of more than 7 Cameroonian internationals plying in Nigeria.

For starters, Rivers Angels F.C. (formerly Larry Angels F.C.) is a Nigerian football club based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The 7-time Nigeri  Nigeria Women’s Premier League winners ply in the top flight division in the female soccer league system.
