Ebongue Joins Nigerian Women’s League Side Angels
Former Awa FF midfeilder, Ebenye Ebongue has signed for Nigerian club juggernauts, Rivers Angel.
From a brimming football family with good history, this is the first time that Ebenye is moving out of the country to ply in another championship, asides the cameroonian women’s championship (Guinness Super League) which has continued to improve.
Last season, Ebenye played for AS Awa FC with whom she was crowned champion of Cameroon.
AWA just narrowly missed out of the CAF women’s champions league after a defeat in the hands of Mazembe in the UNIFFAC zonal competition.
Now, the youngster will have to make her talent know in Rivers Angels. She joins a contingent of more than 7 Cameroonian internationals plying in Nigeria.
For starters, Rivers Angels F.C. (formerly Larry Angels F.C.) is a Nigerian football club based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The 7-time Nigeri Nigeria Women’s Premier League winners ply in the top flight division in the female soccer league system.
