Ekambi aids Abha to quarters of Saudi Kings cup

Cameroon international Toko Ekambi took his club Abha, past the round 16 of the King’s Cup, beating Al Ahli of Algerian international, Riyad Mahrez.

It was a mirage of March 29, 2022 in Blida, Algeria, where Mahrez and co were eliminated from Ekambi’s strike. This time, it happened on Tuesday evening in Saudi.

The Cameroonian striker deprived Mahrez from progressing further in the King’s Cup.

The match ended 2-1 in favor of the visitors on the travel. The former Olympique Lyonnais player distinguished himself by scoring a goal and providing an assist.

Ekambi’s performance lifted Al Abha into the quarter-finals of the competition. the Cameroonian and his Abha teammates were up against a queue of Al Ahli stars, notably Mahrez, Edouard Mendy, Alain Saint Maxima and Frank Kessié.
