Ekambi Leaves It late As Lyon Hold On To Strasbourg

Ekambi’s effort cancelled out Sissoko’s 20th minute goal as Lyon came from behind to steal a point on their travel to Strasbourg.

The men of Peter Bosz
scored a 90th minute goal that was unexpected. It came in as a result of Duboi’s chip for Toko Ekambi, who finished at the far post.

Strasbourg believed for a majority of the game that they’d win, but, Olympique Lyonnais ended up squaring it (1-1) through marksman Karl Toko Ekambi. It is now Ekambi’s 8th goal in 24 matches this season.

The point helps neither of the teams, as Strasbourg are falling behind on the stage and their dream of the Champions League is starting to slip away.

They’ve almost said goodbye to Europe, now behind fouth-placed Rennes with four points.

However, OL left the happier side. The equalizer was unexpected, given the face of the game. It was Strasbourg therefore, who had more regrets at the Stade de la Meinau.
