Elite 1&2: 2024 Title, Relegation Procedure and Host Cities Unveiled

Cameroon’s first and second tier championships head into its last and decisive phase, the title and relegation playoffs which will take a “one way tournament” format featuring 35clubs.

The confirmation was made in communiqué from the Football Federation, FECAFOOT.

West Regional Capital, Bafoussam, Bafang and Mbouda shall play host the grande finale of Elite Two while Yaoundè home for Elite One, both scheduled to run between March 16 to April 07 2024.

Playoffs “Down”: One way tournament of 11 teams to avoid relegation

🏠 Bafoussam, Bafang and Mbouda.

For the top-flight, Eight club drawn from two groups,( Canon of Yaounde, Dynamo of Douala Gazelle FA, Colombe Sportive) as at now in Group A while (Stade Renard, Coton Sport, Young Sport and Fauve Azur) in Group contests for the title, Playoffs-“Up”.

While, six other clubs that finished the second round outside the top four in Group A join five of same status from Group B in the Playoffs-“Down”.

Similarly, the second tier has eight clubs for the title and ascension into elite one which are; Tonnerre of Yaoundè, Aigle of Mungo, Bafmeng United and Racing Club from Group A. Eding Sport, Djiko FC, Dragon of Yaoundè and Panthère Sportif of Nde from Group B.

The eight other clubs that ended outside Playoffs-“Up” positions settle in the Playoffs-“Down”.

Draws will be conducted on March 09 2024 at the FECAFOOT headquarters in Tsinga Yaoundè.
