Elite One: Apejes Stun Cotonsport

CAF Confederation Cup semi – finalists Cotonsport of Garoua got rocked at the Amadou Ahidjo stadium, on occasion of their match day 10 encounter, away to Apejes.

A late goal from substitute Toube Godefroy helped the men of coach Ema Ngondo slain the 15 time winners of the Elite One Championship.

Apejes Academy have been utterly consistent this campaign, and most argue that their strong roster might see them go all the way to playing the playoffs, if they keep lining up victories in the championship.

The 2016 Cameroon Cup winners have gone up to 15 points on 5 place. Just five points separate Apejes from group B leaders Apejes Academy.

Cotonsport on the other hand will not immediately hit the panic button, as they’re still first on the log, at least for the meantime.
