Elite One: Benjamin Mongo Steps in As Coach Of Renaissance

Benjamin Mongo is the new coach of RENAISSANCE FC of President Gustave Owona’s Renaissance of Ngoumou.

President Gustave Owona has chosen to part company with coach Jean Claude Bitomo and switch for the services of coach Benjamin Mongo for the rest of the season.

Newly promoted Renaissance FC are having it all to do after their first couple of games in Cameroon’s Elite division.

It was never going to be easy with the departure of key players; Fidel Brice Ambina, and Kevin Prince Milla who all left for opportunities abroad.

Coach Jean Claude Bitomo leaves Renaissance in a precarious position as they are ranked 11th of 12 teams in group B after 8 matches.

The president had enough after his team’s zero-all draw against Avion Academy, and that was end of coach Bitomo at the club.

Benjamin Mongo is well known around the confines of the Elite 1 and 2. He built a good Dynamo of Douala team that played the elite two for three consecutive seasons.
