Elite One: Canon’s Wift Run Slowed by Gazelle

From a return of a win and defeat, Gazelle FA in just its second season faced a completely opposing Canon of Yaoundè that enjoyed a 100% start with 4goals scored in two starts and non conceded.
The odds weighed on the side of the visitors but Alioum Kada and boys were poised to avoid another defeat from Kpakum in 2023. Both lastly met at last season’s play-offs in Douala where Canon emerged 2-0 winners.
Gazelle FA had to defend home pride at the Roumde Adjia Stadium where visiting teams are yet win a game this season. The young side successfully earned a valuable point that could set them running in the next game.
Joseph Atangana met with his first resistance despite boosting of different scorers in Eyango Priso, Steve Belobo and Essama. Dropped points keeps hope alive for Canon and especially goalkeeper Karim Bello who’s yet to be beaten this season.
Matchday-4 comes with another huge puzzle for both as they face Astre and Colombe of Dja respectively
Canon’s visit to Douala will be another encounter to watch whereas many look to see if Colombe with either end or extend it’s disturbing run in Championship without a win.
