Elite One: Dragon FC Relegated

After 9 seasons in the Elite One, Dragon of Yaounde have now been relegated to MTN Elite Two.

Defeated 3-0 by Bamboutos of Mbouda on the occasion of match day 17, the Yaounde-based outfit can no longer catch up with Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda.

Ninth in the championship with 21 points, the academicians of Bamenda are 12 points ahead of Dragon, three days to the end, so it’s mathematically over for Yannick Noah and his teammates.

Last in Group B with 9 Points, Dragon has a record of 10 defeats, 1 victory and 6 draws in 17 games.

That is therefore insufficient to remain within the ranks of the big boys. Nevertheless, they will have to draw inspiration for their last couple of games in order to end the season in style and why not, give everything when the Cameroon Cup gets underway.
