Elite One: Ekoi Jonas Scores In Guy Fetchine’s Presence, As Astres Draw Against Dragon

Young winger, Ekoi Jonas was on target for his first full debut in Les Astres’ colors over the weekend, and he played some exquisite stuff, in the presence of U23 Lions coach, Guy Fetchine.

The 21-year-old netted an equalizer at the 33rd minute after Franky Bito’o had given Dragon a lead.

Dragon then went ahead at the cusp of full-time, courtesy Beko Ebeny’s goal, but the Brazilians of Bepanda pinched off a point in added on time (90+2) when the goalie played into the hands of Janis Ebelle, who tapped into an empty net.

Young Ekoi Jonas has played two games so far but his first 90 came against Dragon Football club.

The winger who was voted best player of the South West regional championship in 2021, remains a real prospect, and in full flow, he could be one of the reasons Astres find their feet.
