Elite One: Mfoumo Bags Brace As Fortuna Flaws YAFOOT

The lads of coach Prosper Ndedi picked up 3 points against strugglers YAFOOT on match day four of the MTN Elite One championship.

The game was pretty much won and lost in the first half of the encounter with 3 goals scored.

A turbo-charged Adrien Boris Mfoumo of Fortuna bagged the quickest brace of the championship so far at the 15th and 17th minute, which turned out enough to sink YAFOOT.

YAFOOT pulled one back through an own goal as Sebastien Noah’s shot ricocheted through bodies before beating a helpless Thierry Minko in goal for Fortuna, at the 35th minute.

It was Fortuna’s first win and they now temporarily rank 5th in the unofficial classification table after one win and two stalemates.

YAFOOT are in real trouble, as they are rock bottom with no point recorded so far.
