Elite One: Ngongang At Double As Colombe Pip PWD

Colombe have continued their fine run of form in the MTN Elite One though early days in the championship.

The side tutored by coach Anicet Mbarga Foe defeated PWD of Bamenda 2-0 at the Bamendzi stadium on Sunday, October 23rd.

Jeff Ngongang scored a scrappy goal 6 minutes after the half hour mark, before PWD’s center half – Mbom, was shown a second yellow to make matters worst.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, PWD kept pressing especially with a switch made, with coach Nkabyo taking off Kamdoum for young defender, Eyong Agbor.

In the second segment, Colombe equally got reduced to 10 men after Louis Tazoh was shown a second yellow.

Despite Colombe’s red, they managed to double their advantage as gaps were left behind, with PWD looking for an equalizer. Jeff Ngongang appeared at the far post and struck home at the 76th minute to gift Colombe all three points.

Colombe looks like a team with real title credentials in group A. They have now scored 5 goals and conceded zero in the championship.
