Elite One: YAFOOT Holds USD To Draw On Match Day 7

Union Sportif of Douala was held to a draw by YAFOOT on match day 7 in group B of the MTN Elite One.

YAFOOT to the break takes a record of 2 wins and a draw in their last 3 outings, which is laudable given the circumstances which the yaounde based outfit started the championship.

Union Sportif of Douala took the lead through Gallus Etteme at the half hour mark (30th minutes), but YAFOOT struck back through Andy Seck.

In fact, the visitors turned the game on its head at the 67th minute when former Union winger, Ismaila Saidou scored for YAFOOT.

It took a late 82nd minute equalizer for Union to avoid defeat. Young Joseph Iyendjok scored 8 minutes from time as the both teams had a share of the spoils.

After gulping down defeats in their opening three games, YAFOOT has now moved to 7th on the log in group B with 7 points.

Union are fourth-placed with 9 points but both sides have played a game less.
