Elite One: YOSA Falls To Avion Academy
By Ngome Michael
Young Sport Academy of Bamenda is yet to see victory from two league outings so far this season with the most recent being a 2-0 defeat to Pierre Batamak’s Avion Academy on Matchday-3.
At their next door home in Bamendzi, the Yellow Submarines fell to two a quick second half brace from Mahammad Adama which keeps them with just a point in two matches.
Goalless after the first 45minutes, Adama broke the deadlock from an Avion progression upfield in which he was sharp enough to beat YOSA goalkeeper, Yundui who had strayed off his line with a lopped ball.
Just before the dust could settle on the first, Muhammad Adama stepped up and increased Avion’s advantage with less than four minutes separating both goals.
As expected, YOSA had to react with commendable build-ups that had everything in it but finishing. Nchindo John Bosco and mates created multiple chances but were most often impeded by an alerted opponent’s goalkeeper.
Ndikum Blaise would have to workout another equation, heading into Matchday-4 in which they confront a more aggressive UMS of Loum side as per statistics of their match against Fovu Club.
