Emana Celebrated In Real Betis

Real Betis paid a tribute to their former player Achille Emana on Sunday just before facing Osasuna in the Spanish La Liga.

Invited as a guest of honor on Sunday at the Benito Villamarin stadium, EX Cameroon international forward Achille Emana reunited with his former employers in a stadium which, in his own words, “has changed a lot since he left”.

He scored 36 goals in three seasons and received his jersey with an iconic number 779.

In the game proper, Real Betis went on to maul Osasuna 4-1. Betis’ goals on the afternoon came from Juanmi, who scored a brace, William Carvalho and Moreno.

Emana isn’t retired as a football just yet, as he is still plying in the lower tiers of the Spanish Championship, aged 40.
