Emmanuel Mahop off to Oman for another WAR

Last season’s MTN Elite One top scorer, Emmanuel Mahop has taken up a challenge in Oman where he will try to scoop the golden boot for a second season running, this time, out of the country.

The former Canon of Yaoundè hitman who never resumed with his season’s employers Coton Sport after the lengthy AFCON break was announced to have completed a move to IBRI Club without financial details revealed.
Mahop joined the Cottonites earlier this and progressed to becoming top scorer with four goals after unfruitfull trials in the Middle East.
At 28-years-old, Emmanuel Mahop Dikonge seeks to impose his attacking prowess in the new Division after wining the Cameroon Ballon D’or ( an annual given to overall league best player) in 2023 as a result of his scintillating exploits with Canon of Yaoundè where he finished top scorer with 14goals.
Mahop earned himself National Team caps against Namibia during the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Formed at Fundes Sport football academy, the shotstopper turned striker is hoping to hit higher levels in the Omantel Professional League.
