Essa Pius represents Eto’o, unveils great prizes in SW regional league opener

Former Indomitable Lions International, Essa Pius Tabi represented FECAFOOT boss – Samuel Eto’o, in the South West regional league opener on Saturday, March 10.

The FECAFOOT Excom member was delegated the task alongside 4th vice president, Mbigha Felix.

Both men were thrilled to exciting football in two games that produced 8 goals on the afternoon.

As announced by the match day speaker, Essa Pius Tabi put some prizes up for grabs prior to the start of the championship.

Essa Pius, who doubles as an academic and medical doctor, cum business mogul, has gifted his 6-months salary to help the growth of the league.

Balls worth 2.6 millions were shared before the start of the championship to all clubs in the region.

After the donation of balls, Essa Pius promised that a cash prize of 30 thousands will be given to the best player of each month, and 50 thousands to the best official of each month, in championship.

All stakeholders have applauded the initiative, as standards of officiating was below par in the South West region for sometime now.
