Eto’o set to take legal actions against CAF

The president of FECAFOOT, Samuel Eto’o, has announced that he has instructed his lawyers to file a sue CAF.

A few months ago, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that it had opened an investigation against Samuel Eto’o at the request of several stakeholders in Cameroon’s football, with no further information to date.

Several cameroonian Football stakeholders accused the former FC Barcelona striker of “inappropriate behavior, involvements in match fixing amongst others”.

Samuel Eto’o took advantage of his appearance on France 24 to announce that he will take legal actions against the governing body of African football:

“I was never questioned about what I was accused of. I therefore instructed my lawyers to file a complaint against the Confederation and for responsibilities to be established. It was too early. Everything I had built during these few years in the world of football was tarnished. CAF launched a press release much too early. That was an unacceptable behavior.” Eto’o ended.
