Exclusive: How Cameroon used $9.9 million of FIFA funds in 7 years
Report cards for FIFA’s development program from 2016 – 2023 has been released, with details of how member associations including 5-time AFCON winners (Cameroon) put its share into use.
With this huge financial boost, the technical center of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) was designed to allow the Cameroon national team and the first and second division teams train in fine conditions.
In 2020, FECAFOOT launched a project to modernize the center including the management of a state-of-the-art field and the construction of a hotel, as well as the renovation of the dormitories within the sports complex.
The artificial turf now hosts the matches of the national women’s championship, plus, the first and second division teams based in Yaounde.

Dieudonné Happi, Mbombo Njoya Seidou and Samuel Eto’o all welcomed the positive impact of the center on the performance of the Cameroonian national teams and the clubs that use it.
The said project is made up of 3 infrastructures, 2 play grounds and one technical center.
