Fauve Azur pip playoffs spot on D-day against Avion

Fauve Azur validated its ticket for the Play-ups on  Saturday at the Omnisports annex 1 stadium.

The Faya Boys defeated Avion Académie with a score of 1-0. The torrential downpour was seemingly  a blessing for Anicet Koung and his foals, on game day 18 of the Elite One.

At kick-off, the locals took control of the match. The domination was blended with great transitions, causing Avion enough problems.

The Douala-based club had nothing to gain because they were  already condemned to play in the Play-downs.

At minute 30 of play, Kantin Dane opened the scoring. His 30-meter shot ended up in the back of Desiré Christian Nzogue’s net (1-0).

In the second period, the 22 actors showed another face. Missed chances  followed one after the other, to the great dismay of the spectators.

At the final whistle, President Norbert Nya left satisfied with the result achieved on the field.

4th in group B with 23 points, the Faya Boys, for the moment, are qualified for the Play-offs up pending decisions of the homologation and disciplinary commission.
