Fecafoot’s Homologation and Discipline Commission: A Tale of Controversies and Discrimination?

Eyebrows have been raised this Friday, April 7, as an offence – committed by the same player and the same club now has different outcomes. The Federal Homologation and Discipline Commission of FECAFOOT have considered AVION ACADEMY’s request admissible and at the same time rejected that of PWD of Bamenda filed against the same player and club.

The commission claims under the fallacious argument that;

Avion Academy made a denunciation while PWD made a qualification reservation against Collins Ashi Achete, for reported double identity.

It is a judgment with variable geometry, and one would be tempted to ask the question whether there is marginalisation problem at FECAFOOT.

Fans of the Bamenda based outfit are bent on the fact that there is an agenda at Fecafoot against clubs from the English Speaking regions of Cameroon and the Northwest in particular.

PWD of Bamenda filed qualification reserves against the said player ‘Ashi Collins’ of UMS of Loum in the form and time provided for.

But to the team’s greatest surprise, the request was declared inadmissible on the grounds that reservation against players qualification are prohibited in the return phase of the Championship.

However, AVION ACADEMY’s reservations were also formulated during the same return phase.

The decision speculates that Avion made a denunciation, and that PWD made reservations.

At the end of the day, the objective remains the same, that of raising a complaint against the qualification of a player who with the complicity of his team has changed his Identity.
