FIBA WC Qualifiers: Cameroon Struggles In February Window

The first window of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers has come to an end in Dakar, Senegal, with team Cameroon ending third in group B.

The boys of Sacha Giffa lost two games in 3, winning one against Rwanda, and narrowly losing to Tunisia before ending up with a huge defeat to South Sudan.

The team which is well under construction after the Adingono era is perhaps still recovering from a poor Afrobasket campaign in Rwanda.

Just like in the Afrobasket, South Sudan defeated Cameroon 74-76 after a disastrous fourth quarter that saw the men of Royal Ivey pull away on the score cards in the Lions’ first game

That was however after Cameroon won with a 57-45 victory over Rwanda. Prior to that, they started in an unlucky note; losing to the African champions Tunisia (51-54) in the opener.

Aristide Mouaha and his teammates will have some time to prepare before the second window which starts in July.
