Fidel Brice Ambina loaned out to Valerenga by cape town City
Cameroonian midfielder Fidel Brice Ambina (22) has been loaned by Cape Town City to Valerenga, a Norwegian second division club, until July 2024 with an option to buy. The midfielder had been on trial for a few days at the club.
The former Renaissance midfielder Ngoumou was in his third season with Cape Town City since leaving Cameroon.
Brice Ambina within the South African first division club had already proven himself in his stint. During the first part of the 2023/2024 season, there were some rumors about a possible departure of the player from the club.
After 15 matches played since the start of this season, Brice Ambina found himself in Norway for tryouts. After convincing, he signed a short-term contract with Vaalerenga until July 31, 2024 with an option to buy.
The signature was approved by Valerenga’s head coach, Geir Bakke: “Brice is a typical six player with good weight shifts and good overview.
“He often looks for solutions and often finds them. He has to adapt to the Norwegian rhythm, because it is quite different from the way they play in South Africa, but he is a good footballer”.
After penning the deal, Ambina said: “I’m very happy to be here and I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the Vålerenga fans. We have excellent teammates here, there is a good coaching staff and I will do my best on the pitch”. He stated on the club’s website.
