FIFA Coca-Cola Ranking March: Cameroon Leaps One Step Ahead

After qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, Cameroon has gained a spot and is now 37th in the world and 6th in Africa in the latest FIFA Ranking.

After her brilliant qualification for the 2022 World Cup, the Indomitable Lions former ranked 38th in the world in February, finds itself in the new ranking published on Thursday morning (37).

The top 5 in Africa remains unchanged (Senegal, Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt and Tunisia). Now 20th in the world, Senegal lost two places but remain leaders in Africa. Senegal is ahead of Morocco, and Nigeria, who are one of two teams in Africa’s top five who did not make it through to the World Cup.

Egypt are ranked 4th despite their disturbing AFCON final loss to Senegal, and non-qualification in the World Cup. Tunisia (5th), Cameroon (6th) all qualified for the World Cup, Algeria have now sunk 44th in the world and 8th in Africa, after dismal AFCON outings and non-qualification to the World Cup, after elimination by Cameroon.
