FIFA release that plonges cameroon’s football in further doubts over newly appointed coach
A FIFA correspondence opened fresh doubts in what was supposed to be a conflict resolution between Fecafoot and Minsep.
FIFA, in a release sent to Fecafoot, requests that the situation currently prevailing between the Federation and the Ministry of Sports be managed in accordance with article 9 of the agreement between Minsep and Fecafoot dating back to 2015.
The world football Governing body recognises that the choice of technical staff for national teams must rest exclusively with the executive committee of the federations.
Furthermore, the body led by Gianni Infantino wants a rapid review of the said agreement to allow Fecafoot to work in complete autonomy.
Jumping on these latest mentions of the releases, Samuel Eto’o rushed to write to the Minister of Sports, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.
Eto’o specifies to his supervisory authority that regarding the letter from FIFA, “the designation of the members of the technical and administrative management of the Men’s Selection A, as proposed by Fecafoot during our discussions, is our point of closer view of FIFA requirements »
However, the former captain of the indomitable lions expressly omitted the part of the letter which requires that this situation be managed in accordance with article 9 of the Minsep/Fecafoot convention.
This article admits the provision of technical supervision of the Male Selection by the State. As an old veteran of the law, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi will surf on this point to validate the staff appointed by him on High Instructions from the Head of State.
Minsep’s response is awaited. But the matter seems to have further outcomes. Marc Brys remains in post, as well as all his staff up until this point.
