Franck Bambock Effect: Grenoble Wins Second Ligue 2 Game

Versatile defender and – covering – holding midfeilder, Franck Bambock, 26, made his debut for Gronoble on Saturday September 11, and became an instant hit with the fans due to his fine showing in their 2-1 home win against Nimes.

The win was Grenoble’s second in 7 Ligue 2 games this season.

Upon returning from the locker room after the interval, Belmonte tried his luck but saw his shot pass just next to the inches from the Nimes goal (51st).

A few minutes later, the Grenoblois finally was rewarded for their efforts and equalized thanks to a powerful header from Mamadou Diallo, very well weighted by Loris Néry (1-1, 55th).

Doucouré tried to restore the advantage to the visitors, but his shot hit the post at the (71st) minute.

Diallo was not far from the double when his free kick grazed the pass of the goalkeeper.

After the introduction of Bambock, towards the end of the game, his efforts were good enough to contain Nimes and so his team pushed and got the all most important victory.

It was Henen’s shot that was badly handled by the visiting goalkeeper and made its way in (90+2) for Grenoble 2, Nimes 1.
