George Nkoudou bag league brace again, draws closer to Ronaldo on scorers’ chart
At the opening of the 16th day of the Saudi Pro League, Damac Fc won against Al Ittihad thanks to a double from Georges-Kevin Nkoudou
Nothing seems to go wrong for Cameroon international Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, as he is on cloud nine at the moment.
He proved it again on Thursday during the reception of Al Ittihad in the opening match of the 16th day of the Saudi championship.
Deprived of Karim Benzema but with N’golo Kanté, Al Ittihad could not resist the Cameroonian’s state of form.
The latter quickly scored in the game (12′, 1-0) before doing it again in added time of the first period (45+7′ 1-2).
Al Ittihad had halved deficit few minutes before through Hamed Allah.
Upon return from the locker room, Marcelo Grohe, the Al Ittihad goalkeeper, parried into his own goal and allowed Damac Fc to extend lead (46′, 3-1).
The score did not change until the end of the match. Nkoudou therefore scored his second double in a week, after that against Al Fayha last Friday.
It brings his total to 13 goals, 2 behind Cristiano Ronaldo (15 goals), top scorer in the championship.
Damac Fc continues its good momentum and climbs to 6th place. Al Ittihad is still fourth while waiting for the end of this 16th day.
