GPL: Mfegue Returns From Injury With A Goal, But Kotoko Fall At Tamale

Out for a good part of one month due to injury, Kotoko’s Mfegue Georges scored on his full return from injury, but Asante Kotoko let their lead slide away to Real Tamale United, and the porcupine warriors were subsequently defeated.

Despite the cameroonian’s goal at the 43rd minute, RTU came back strongly in the second half to down the Ghana premiere league holders.

Kuka scored a 47th minute equalizer just before skipper David Abagna made it two – one at the 59th minute.

Asante Kotoko are third in the current Ghana premier league table, and they have their new number ’10’ back amongst the goals but the men of coach Seydou Zerbo must find a way to chase down current league leaders, Aduana Stars.

Last term in his debut season, Mfegue scored 8 times and dished out four assist. This term however, the 25-year-old didn’t find his feet from the start.

Mfegue and co go on a world cup break to only return to action on December 21.
