Hammer, Saïd Benrahma misses out on Algeria’s 26-man AFCON list

28-year-old Ain Temouchent born Algerian winger, Saïd Benrahma has missed out on Djamel Belmadi’s AFCON 2023 list.

The West Ham winger has not covered himself in glory this season with just one assist in 12 games played for the Hammers.

It s on that note that Belmadi unveiled his list for AFCON 2023 on Friday, December 29 without Benrahma.

Six Ligue 1 players are in the group including Youcef Atal and Amine Gouiri.

On January 13, the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations will kick-start in Cote D’Ivoire.

Candidates for continental coronation, Algeria will be one of the teams to watch.

Unsurprisingly, the Algerian technician listed most of his executives in; Riyad Mahrez, Youcef Atal, Islam Slimani, Baghdad Bounedjah, Ramy Bensebaini, Aissa Mandi and Ismaël Bennacer, injured for a good part of the season, but finally fit for the competition.

Youcef Belaïli, who now plays in the Algerian championship with MC Alger, also appears in this list.
