Harold Moukoudi hospitalised after food poisoning with indomitable Lions
Harold Moukoudi will miss AEK Athens’ Europa league trip to England having been hospitalised due to food poisoning, sportglitz has learnt.
Indomitable Lions defender Harold Moukoudi has been hospitalised following an infection, as a result of something he ate, while with the Indomitable Lions, during the international break.
It was decided to admit the central defender of “Enosis” to Athens Medical Center for more special examinations on Tuesday afternoon (19/09). It is noted that since Saturday (16/09), he had shown some symptoms and played against Olympiacos having undergone treatment. Unfortunately for him, however, he continued to suffer and that is why it was deemed necessary to enter for examinations.
The 25-year-old who made his return to the national selection for the first time in over a year, and stayed with the team for more than a week, with stints in Yaounde, and later, Garoua – where the game AFCON qualifiers game against Burundi was played.
Moukoudi has spent the last 48 hours being monitored, and his club side AEK finally ascertained that, Moukoudi’s infection is as a result of something he ate while with Cameroon’s senior men’s national team.
However, If all goes according to the doctors’ programme, Moukoudi will be released from the hospital tomorrow.
Rated at a whopping € 4 million, Moukoudi joined AEK as a free agent in the 2022 off season, and made an immediate impact, helping his side to a 13th Greek championship.
Moukoudi has played 6 official games this football calendar year for AEK, including four champions league qualifying games.
