The Harambee Starlets held it till full-time with Beldin Odemba having her plann beating that of her male opposition on sportkicks.
Behina had her redemption, saving the for penalty but that was not enough as Meffometou and Charlen Meyong failed to convert their shots. Ruth Ingosi missed for the Starlets.
Jean Baptiste Besseck was appointed on August 18 2023, a month before his first outing with the lionesses after his predecessor, Gabriel ZaboToze led the team to an underwhelming last WAFCON semifinal and FIFA World Cup playoffs.
