Indomitable Lions: Rigobert Song & Onana At It Again (Video)

Days after Cameroon’s elimination from the world cup, coach Rigobert Song has finally come out to explain his version of what transpired between him and Onana, which caused the latter’s rustication from camp on Nov. 28.

Videos have stroke the social networks with Cameroon’s manager explaining the reason why Onana was sent parking from camp, as his revelation confirmed that it had everything to do with the 26-year-old’s play style.

‘It wasn’t a big problem! In training, he does his one man show, that he comes to play with the who? I call him, I tell him, it’s a risk! Let’s play the balls on the side, it’s easier on the side. He gets angry, and says I shouldn’t talk to him anymore. That’s the whole problem. I say but, I talk to Aboubakar, Choupo-Moting, Zambo-Anguissa, the brains of the team. Who are you even for me not to speak to. I stopped training, ”revealed the Indomitable Lions coach.

‘ I asked everyone to go the locker room. Firstly, he spoiled my training session. The president was in the stands and saw all what happened. On our return to the hotel, instead of talking to me, he went to see the president. The president sent him parking…’ Rigobert Song explained.

At the time when Song’s reaction was buzzing, Andre Onana took to his tweeter handle and wrote: ‘ In a world where lying is the most common thing, telling the truth makes you a revolutionary. But in the end, time will put everything in its place.’

After Onana was sent out of camp, second choice goalie Devis Epassy stood between the sticks and subsequently won a man of the match award in Cameroon’s one-nil victory against Brazil.

Up until this point, Rigobert Song and glove-man Andre Onana both really did not come out plain to explain the root course of the problems fazed.
