Indomitable Lions to stay “inactive” in March FIFA window
Cameroon will not have a friendly match in the international break this March 2024.
The Indomitable Lions have no shortage of suitors, however no decision has been made to this effect, due to the delay in acquiring a coach to man the dugouts.
Nothing has changed since the elimination of the indomitable Lions at AFCON 2023.
The international window planned for March is meant to allow a few friendly matches to be played by national selections, so as to prep teams for the world cup qualifiers in June.
Per sportglitz.com sources, the Cameroon Football Federation has been approached to participate in a tournament.
The Malagasy Football Federation contacted Fecafoot to discuss the possibility of a game between the Bareas and the Indomitable Lions.
At the moment, FECAFOOT boss, Samuel Eto’o has not yet given any follow-up on Cameroon’s participation in a tournament.
The next two opponents of the Indomitable Lions for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, are Cape Verde (June 3rd), and Angola, seven days later.
