Injured Yvan Neyou Adds Up To Lions’ Woes

On the occasion of Saint Etienne’s match day 12 Ligue 1 encounter against Metz, midfeilder – Yvan Neyou left the field stretched out, due to an injury.

The Lions’ holding midfielder twisted his right ankle in an attempt to help his side defend a Metz corner, only at the 5th minute of play.

Neyou becomes the second casualty in Antonio Conceiçao’s pre selected squad of 32, to face Malawi and Cote D’Ivoire on November 11 and 13.

In all, Conceiçao equally had to make his list without Neyou’s teammate – Harold Moukoudi, due to an injury picked up last Friday.

Harold Moukoudi will be absent for the next 4 weeks. For Choupo – Moting, he should be able to stretch – out the Thigh injury he picked up prior to Bayern’s cup game, in two weeks.

The extent to which Neyou hurt himself has not yet been revealed by the club’s medical team. It is difficult to see how All these absences wouldn’t adversely affect the Lions in their confrontations against Malawi and Cote D’Ivoire, in the Qatar World Cup qualifiers.
