Int’l Solidarity Tourney: PWD Eases Through Dragon
By Ngome Michael
Northwest based Elite One side PWD Club of Bamenda are having quite an enjoyable time in the ongoing international Solidarity Tournament in Yaoundé.
The ABAKWA Boys in two outinngs have registered big wins against elite Championship clubs, Renaissance and most recently Dragon Football Club of Yaounde.
With seven goals scored in both games and zero conceeded, Coach David Pagou seems to be sending a strong message to both club owners and future opponents on how solid PWD is becoming.
Maël Dindjeke sent the blue and white side ahead 12minutes into the contest from the spot as Awamukula was brutally brought down by the Dragon keeper.
PWD had chances to double their lead before the break but Ngondi and Awamukula failed to be clinical.
Dressing room talked paid off instantly as Maël got his brace thanks to a solo effort.
Tactical second half substitutions from the David Pagou bench meant Dragon had more casualties suffer which finally came via Paul Ngondi and Aboubarkar Tche.
4-0 it ended in favor of the Abakwa Boys who have secured a place in the round of the tourney and will face familiar YAFOOT on Tuesday for the final group game.
