It is over between Arta Solar & Alexandre Song
The love story between Alexandre Song and AS Arta Solar 7 has come to an end after three seasons. The Djiboutian first division club announced the departure of the Cameroonian international in the early hours of Wednesday.
Having arrived with fanfare in 2020, Alexandre Song now leaves the country placed at the Horn of Africa after three successful seasons.
Appointed captain of his team upon his arrival, the 35-year-old midfielder was a cornerstone of the project which consisted of placing the Djibouti giant at the top of African football.
A true leader, Song guided his teammates to 4 national titles including two championships and two cups. The EX gunner led the club to participate in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Cup. Arta lost heavily to the Arab Contractors of Egypt (10-1) on aggregate, a humiliating score quickly forgotten after a Championship and Cup double at the end of the season: the first in the history of the club.
