J1 League: John Mary Scores In Avispa’s Loss To Shimizu

Avispa Fukuoka striker and Cameroon international John Mary Uzueghunam scored a consolation, only enough to half the deficit for his side in his team’s 2-1 defeat to Shimuzu S-Pulse on match day 31 of the J1 League.

The former Fortuna forward made his way to the field at the 62nd minute after two goals had already been scored by the visitors.

John Mary, 26, however put in a shift in the 28 minutes given him by coach Shigetoshi Hasebe and scored for his team at the 81st minute.

John Mary has found game time difficult to come by but he has managed four goals in 12 appearances so far.

John Mary and Avispa Fukuoka still have 7 games to go before the end of the campaign. Fukouka are 8th on the league with 46 points.
