Jerome Onguene Returns To Salzburg Squad Ahead Of Crucial UCL Game Against Seville

RB Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch has called up Cameroon defender Jerome Onguene ahead of the team’s crucial away champions league game against FC Seville.

The 23 year old has reported cleared all administrative issues with his employers and is set to get back to the field.

Jerome Onguene is yet to play an official game for his club this season but stared throughout the club’s pre season tour, especially against Atletico Madrid and Football Club Barcelona.

This is a big boost for Salzburg and the man who was sent on loan to Italian Serie A side Genoa last season.

Without Onguene, Salzburg has kept 8 clean sheets as a team, out of 15 games played in all competitions.

Onguene has played 93 games for his current employers, scored 11 times, and assisted 4 goals since July 1 2018, winning 7 trophies in that time.

Salzburg are lodged in group G alongside: Lille, Seville and Wolfsburg. The first game against Seville is of utmost importance as the group looks tricky with French champions Lille and Bundesliga reps Wolfsburg, without leaving out Euroupa league juggernauts Seville, looking to make it through to the next round.
