Jérôme Onguéné Targeted By Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt is apparently negotiating a deal with Cameroon’s Jérôme Onguéné for a possible switch from the Austrian to the German Bundesliga.

The defender is under contract with RB Salzburg until the summer after which, he will then available on a free transfer.

Looking for reinforcements at the back for the coming season, Eintracht Frankfurt has stumbled on the profile of Jérôme Onguéné from Austrian Bundesliga champions RB Salzburg.

As reported by Fabrice Hawkins, the central defender has impressed Frankfurt with his recent performances and is now “at the top of the list.”

What makes the 24-year-old particularly attractive to all and sundry in addition to his sporting qualities, is that his contract in Salzburg expires after the current season. He is therefore available on a free transfer.

The latter was a bronze medalist at the 2021 AFCON which he played the first of Cameroon’s  7 games
