Joel Tagueu Stars In Maritimo’s 4-1 Mauling Over Santa Clara

Joel Tagueu was back among the goals in the Portuguese premier division, getting one out of five – for Maritimo on Saturday December 11, as they defeated Santa Clara 4-1.

Bottom half strugglers Santa Clara took the lead, at the 1st minute of the game.

Indomitable Lions forward Joel Tagueu pulled the home side to parity, at the 18th minute, from the penalty spot.

From when Tagueu equalised, Maritimo didn’t look back. Nuno Campo’s side who were undefeated in two games prior to the Santa Clara clash, then, took the lead
at the 38th minute.

It was Brazilian forward Henrique Roberto Rafael, who put Tagueu and co ahead. A goal on the hour mark from Matheus Costa and another from Guitane, 9 minutes after, sealed the deal.

With that victory, Maritimo moves to the 9th place on the log with 14 points from 14 matches played.

That goal takes Tagueu’s goal tally to 2 in 6 matches played in the LIGA PORTUGAL BWIN this campaign.
