John Bosco set for Marc Brys’ call with latest Ballon d’Or award
Turned 23 on Wednesday, won the prestigious ballon d’Or award on Friday, after scooping home the Synafoc and CFOOT player of the month respectively, it couldn’t get any better for Nchindo John Bosco in February.
Meanwhile, despite all those accolades lined up, the youngster’s greatest achievement remains his call-up with the senior men’s national team of Cameroon.
Nchindo received his maiden Indomitable Lions call in May 2024, ahead of Cameroon’s world Cup qualifiers against Cape Verde and Angola in June.
Despite watching on from the stands, Nchindo had a good report and has since then evolved, growing into maturity.
Between then and now, lots of things have happened. John Bosco has switched to Cotonsport of Garoua, where he has since banged in 4 goals and two assits.
The attacking midfielder was equally captain of the intermediate Lions under coach Soh Simplis.
His current form and accolades could lure Belgian tactician, Marc Brys to re-call him into the Lions’ den, especially as Nchindo already knows the environment, and the pressure that comes with.
On his part, coach Marc Brys has emphasized on the development of local players and will jump at any chance to expose local talents.
Cameroon takes on Libya and Eswatini later this month in the World Cup qualifiers.
