Joyskim Dawa Backs Lions Call – Up With First Botosani Goal

Recently selected by coach Tony Conceicao for the double header against Mozambique in the month of October, versatile Lions defender – Joyskim Dawa Tchakonte scored his first goal for Botosani on Sunday September 26.

Thanks to a 90th minute goal from Joyskim Dawa, his first in his new colors, Botosani snatched the a point in their 1-1 draw against FC Universitatea Craiova, after Sekou Sidibe had netted on the hour for Universitatea.

Botosani therefore retained her place as runners-up in the Romanian championship at the end of the 10th playing day.

Despite critics following a general poor showing – the Lions had in their world cup qualifiers game in Abidjan last month, Indomitable Lions coach Antonio Conceiçao has kept the faith in Dawa, just like with 80 percent of players from the last list.

Joyskim Dawa has played 8 games for Botosani so far, and the 25-year-old is definitely making the difference this season.
