Junior Tchamadeu wins second MOTM award in 2 weeks ahead of coach Rigobert Song’s AFCON list
Junior Tchamadeu was named Man of the Match in Stoke City’s 3-1 victory over Birmingham in the Championship on Tuesday.
It was the second time that the full-back scoped the award after coming off the bench to clinch the prestigious price against Swansea on December 12.
This, before the Indomitable Lions head coach Rigobert Song ultimately names his AFCON list on Thursday.
It was a perfect ‘boxing day’ for Stoke City and their Cameroonian right-back Junior Tchamadeu who won against Birmingham on the 24th day of the Championship, ending a series of matches without victory.
After a series of 9 consecutive matches without victory, new Stoke manager Steven Schumacher reintroduced Tchamadeu in the starting line-up.
Changes by the new man at the helm (Steven Schumacher) contributed to a 3-1 thumping over Wayne Roney’s Birmingham.
Cameos at the weekend by Junior Tchamadeu earned him a starting berth at right-back with licence to power up the pitch and be a nuisance. He was given a 7/10 rating in the game.
