Just In: Vincent Aboubakar On His Way To Besiktas

Vincent Aboubakar’s contract with Al Nassr has mutually been terminated.

The Cameroonian international is headed the way of Turkey where he will reunite with Beşiktaş, today Wednesday January 18.

Aboubakar, 30, will reportedly sign a 2 and half year contract with Beşiktaş for an undisclosed fee after his medical.

The poacher completed a move to Al Nassr from Beşiktaş, spending two seasons in Saudi Arabia.

Aboubakar took part in 41 official matches, and scored 13 goals, dishing out 5 assists in the process for Nassr.

It has been a winter window filled with speculations over the center – forward’s future after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in Al Nassr. Aboubakar was linked with several clubs including Real Valladolid and Manchester United. The latter is now set for a return to Turkey.

Vincent Aboubakar is the only Cameroonian included in the International Federation of Football History & Statistics CAF team of 2022 aired on tuesday.

The erstwhile Porto forward had a blistering year with some vital goals for club and country which earned him yet another personal accolade.

He won the golden boot at last year’s TotalEnergies AFCON with 8 goals scored, then scored 2 goals in the World Cup including that famous header that won Cameroon the game against Brazil.
