By Ngome Michael

All is done and dusted with naming of final squad for next month’s AFCON in Group A. Host Cameroon set the pace followed by Cape Verde, Ethiopia and now Burkina Faso.

The 2017 third runners-up have revealed a list of 28 players to scramble for top places in Cameroon.

A team which a successful but unfortunate FIFA World Cup qualifier will capitalized on that to make it pass the quater finals.

Dominated by local players, Burkina Faso’s team consist of four choices in goal, nine in defense, six midfieders and nine at the goal porching end.

Clashing with Cameroon for almost third time, a 2-2 draw against champions Alegeria in the last international break, the Burkinabés are tipped favorites for the two groups A quater finals.

The Stallions finished top of group B, playing six games with three wins and three stalemates. Counting close 12 appearances on the continent, Johnathan Pitrioper, Aristide Bancé led the golden generation to the finals against Nugery in South Africa, 2013.

Gabon 2015 was another fruitful year for the Stallions as they ended in third place, cruising pass big names.
