Kaptoum Leaves MLS For Las Palmas

Cameroonian international midfielder Wilfrid Kaptoum has signed with Las Palmas, a second division club in Spain.

It’s a second stint in Spain for Wilfrid Kaptoum. He spent his entire career there before going to the United States where he penned up with New England Revolution, a Major Soccer League club, in the 2020-2021 season.

After one season, the former Betis Sevilla player has decided to return to Spain. He entered into contract with Las Palmas on Friday, January 13, 2023.

The duration of the contract with his new club has not yet been revealed.

Considered great hope of Cameroonian football after his time at Fundesport and then in the youth teams of FC Barcelona, Wilfrid Kaptoum, 26, has so far not yet confirmed his place at the highest level. His signing for Las Palmas could revive his career.
