Kouadja Kouassi: Renaissance Recruits EX City Defender

Elite One side Renaissance de Ngoumou has acquired Kouadja Kouassi of Cote D’Ivoire nationality, who equally is a former Cape Town City defender, for a period of one season.

The deal was announced upon completion at Renaissance’s headquarters based in Yaounde.

It is the second time Cape town city pops up in-an-around a deal in the country. The news comes barely a fortnight after EX Renaissance midfeilder – Fidel Brice Ambina penned a four year deal with Cape Town City, as the sides look to build work affiliations.

26 year old Kouadja Kouassi has formerly played for 8 other clubs, with the most recent being Aktobe in the Kazakhstan first-tier.

The 1.84 metters center half will be looking to aid Renaissance put up a fine display on their return to the top-tier. The Championship starts on March 12, with Renaissance lodged in group A alongside; Union, YOSA, Avion, Canon, Fauve Azure, Colombe, Fortuna, Bamboutos, New Stars, Djiko FC, Stade Renard and Cotonsport
