Liga Nos: Joel Tagueu Scores As 10 Man Maritimo Win On The Road

In – form Maritimo forward Joel Tagueu scored his 5th goal of the season in 13 games, for his side against Arouca.

As an the icing on the cake for Tagueu and co, they had to do it a man down, playing away, before an intimidating crowd at the Estadio Arouca Arena on Monday.

The visitors took the lead as early as the 9th minute, through Iranian forward, Ali Alipour. Maritimo was then handed a penalty at the 27th minute which Tagueu took and missed, but then, beat goalkeeper Braga on the rebound.

The latter made his way out for André Vidigal, immediately after his team was reduced to 10.

Alipour got his brace to wave aside any fears for a possible comeback. Maritimo are 8th in the Portuguese Championship after 22 matches played, with an accumulated points tally of 28.
