Ligue 1: Jean Onana Scores Debut Goal For Bordeaux Against Lens

On his debut for Bordeaux, Cameroon international Jean Onana was quick to find the net despite ending on the losing side.

Acquired from Lille some weeks ago, Cameroonian midfielder Jean Onana played his first match for Bordeaux on Sunday, September 12, 2021 against RC Lens. The meeting counted for the 5th day of the Ligue 1 campaign.

Onana started from the midfeild for Bordeaux and went on to open his goal counter.

His debut goal came in the 88th minute, allowing his team to equalize two – all at the time.

Gaël Kakuta and Facundo Medina made it two – nil for the visitors before the break, and Bordeaux managed to pull square through goals from Mangas and Jean Onana (60, 88 minutes)

Bordeaux unfortunately led their guards down and conceded a third goal in stoppage time (90 + 6) vis a penalty converted by Florian Sotoca.

That was Bordeaux’s second consecutive defeat which maintains Onana and his partners in the relegation slot. The Bordeaux only have two points after five games played.
